Initiative “Virtual Internships in
the Baltic’s” is implemented by Latvian Information and Communications
Technology Association (LIKTA) in cooperation with the University of Latvia and
with financial support from Microsoft Philantropies program.
Our aim is to provide necessary tools and possibilities to develop digital skills of inhabitants of all three Baltic States. We will not only provide training courses, but also the opportunity of “hands-on” approach – possibility to sharpen the skills in virtual internships lead by professional mentor or apply new skills in practice in company – internship provider.
Participants of training course will be given the opportunity to learn business and data analysis, business process automation and app development, Python programming and wide variety of unexplored possibilities of Microsoft 365 account. At the end of courses participants will have acquired skills to work with large amount of data, make data visualisations, to develop programs that can be used in business environment, etc.
At the end of courses participants will have the opportunity to apply those skills in practice in either virtual internships, lead by professional mentor, or real work environment, applying learning-by-doing approach.
Initiative will start on 17th of June, 2021, and will last till December 30th, 2022.
