Initiative “Virtual Internships in the Baltic’s” is implemented by Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA) in cooperation with the University of Latvia Innovation Centre (LUMIC) and with financial support from Microsoft Philantropies program.
Our aim is to provide necessary tools and possibilities to develop digital skills of inhabitants of all three Baltic States. We did not only provide training courses, but also the opportunity of “hands-on” approach – possibility to sharpen the skills in virtual internships lead by professional mentor or apply new skills in practice in company – internship provider.
Participants of training course are given the opportunity to learn business and data analysis, business process automation and app development, Python programming and wide variety of unexplored possibilities of Microsoft 365 account. At the end of courses participants will have acquired skills to work with large amount of data, make data visualisations, to develop programs that can be used in business environment, etc.
Initiative started on 17th of June, 2021, and lasted till December 30th, 2022.
All courses offered in this program are recorded and available for self-learning.
Around March/April of year 2023 there is planned new round of courses, as well new courses on artificial intelligence for beginners and advanced learners. Please follow information on LIKTA/LUMIC social media.
